Lisa and Herb Silkowitz, Directors

With over thirty years of combined experience with Coleman Family Camps, our Cross Country directors, Lisa and Herb Silkowitz, are the seasoned and energetic pair who lead our teen travelers in trips full of discovery and adventure! Both Lisa and Herb are middle school educators who work with young teens all year -- not just during the summer months -- and they have four children of their own! They know just how to cater to this age group's needs and interests.

As a special education teacher and cheerleading coach at Oceanside Middle School as well as a certified Emergency Medical Technician, Lisa does it all! Well, she does it all except for riding roller coasters, that is. Fortunately, Herb is a huge coaster fan, and he's just as enthusiastic as our thrill-seeking teens about riding the rides! An assistant principal at Woodland Junior High School, Herb lends enthusiasm, energy, and experience to our tours.
